Knockquhassen Farm B&B is located just 2.5 miles outside Stranraer. Situated at the end of a country lane in the hills above the town, it offers stunning panoramic views and a real feeling of peaceful seclusion, while still being conveniently located for the town and nearby ferry port at Cairnryan. Stranraer has plenty of shops and cafes as well as a selection of good restaurants. Portpatrick, just a few miles away on the west coast of the Rhins also boasts some excellent pubs and restaurants and is a very pretty harbour village, well worth a visit.

There are 2 rooms available for guests, one upstairs and one downstairs, both with ensuite showers. The owners love animals and have cats, horses and hens. Dogs are welcome (with their owners!) and the area is wonderful for walking with dogs with lots of lovely beaches nearby. Trout fishing is available on the reservoir, a short walk from the house; there are numerous lovely gardens nearby to visit and plenty of scenic countryside to explore on foot, by bike or by car. Wildlife is abundant and many birds and animals can be seen from the garden including buzzards, raven and roe deer. The Galloway Forest Park and the Ayshire coast are both within an hour’s drive and offer beautiful scenery and further opportunities for walking, cycling and wildlife spotting.
