The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was celebrated at the Mull of Galloway on Thursday 2nd June 2022.

The event was hosted at Gallie Craig Coffee House and around 200 people attended. Gallie Craig provided Jubilee Burgers and drinks to the attendees and the food was funded by the Mull of Galloway Trust.

We joined a worldwide team to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth to to mark the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II on 6 February 1952.

The Mull of Galloway Beacon was lit at 9.45pm along with other beacons throughout the British Isles. Local farmer, Robert Lammie played the pipes to signal the lighting of beacon and this was lit by HM Coastguards Drummore.
